For clarification, although I'm following manga canon for most part, I will be basing certain plot elements off the original game canon, as they were omitted/left unexplained in the manga (e.g. the way one enters Wonderland, details of Lorina's death, etc). This post, although entirely fan-written, explains the differences between versions and how Wonderland works.

Personality:

Alice is, for most part, a typical teenage girl: she's friendly, bright, optimistic and easily befriends and gets along with everyone. She's polite and nice to other people, but can be somewhat cynical if given a reason. Unlike her sister, whom she often compares herself to, she's not very elegant or lady-like, which sometimes causes her to think less about herself. Despite that, she's strong-willed and brave, not being afraid of talking to a mafia boss or being threatened with weapons. A part of it comes from the fact she thinks Wonderland is a dream, which brings us to her next trait -- she can be a little naive at times, easily believing what others say and reassuring herself in her own believes. Based on the main character of Lewis Carroll's story, Alice maintains certain characteristics of the original, being somewhat dreamy and sometimes a little air-headed. Although not completely clumsy, she's not overly graceful, either -- she can trip over things when deep in thought or step over people's feet while dancing. That, however, does not stop her from questioning the logic (or lack thereof) of the things surrounding her and maintaining rather realistic views.

Speaking of which, in Wonderland, life has no value whatsoever, as everyone who dies can easily be replaced when their clock is fixed. Therefore, Alice's attachment to life and preserving it no matter the cost makes her a truly unusual person in the eyes of the residents of the Country of Hearts. Their indifference towards death is one of the things Alice can never accept and will always rush to save others, even if it means putting her life on the line. She's very helpful in general, tending to Boris' wounds on several occasions or staying with Julius and aiding him in clock-fixing. She proves to be very hard-working and responsible, as the clock-makes doesn't even require her to work, but she continues doing so since she feels indebted to him for letting her stay with him.

In fact, Alice possesses a really strong sense of responsibility, which is pointed out by Ace and several other characters -- it manifests mostly as her persistence in not letting anyone die, but also her will to return home. It can also be seen when she's offended by somebody or happens to have an argument with someone, as she's not the type to turn her back to it and run away -- no, she will do her best to resolve the issue as soon as possible, otherwise she'll be bothered by it and become annoyed with the situation. In spite of that, the fact remains that she's actually running away into dreams -- after her older sister's death, her father becoming a workaholic, her younger sister growing to hate her and finally her lover leaving her, Alice started blaming herself for what happened to Lorina and subconsciously wishing to forget it, as she couldn't face reality. Even so, a part of her is aware that she needs to grow up and stop being scared of life, even if it brings her pain -- that's what others describe as "sense of responsibility", which she hasn't lost even after losing her memories of Lorina's death. She obviously have a hard time letting things go -- she keeps remembering her ex-boyfriend when seeing Blood and continuously compares the two, much to the mafioso's displeasure. Although it may be a little tactless of her to do so, when confronted about it, she promises to try and stop that, showing she's willing to at least attempt to change her ways when in wrong. Still, she goes as far as claiming she will never fall in love again, afraid of being hurt.

Alice enjoys simple pleasures, such as spending Sunday afternoons with her older sister in the garden, reading books and playing. She also has a soft spot for cute things, almost to unreasonable levels -- even though she claims not to like Peter and calls him a pervert on several occasions, the moment he turns into his rabbit form, she starts hugging him and lets him sleep with her.

Strengths/Weaknesses:

CARING: Alice is a very caring and friendly person, always looking out not only for people close to her, but for everyone, including those who don't hold "roles" in Wonderland and therefore are deemed worthless by its inhabitants. This makes her different from them and "special" -- the main reason everyone falls in love with her kindness, as this particular trait is so uncommon in this world.
+ BRAVE: She's not afraid of getting in harm's way if it means helping someone or proving her point; on the contrary, although Alice is often being threatened with guns and other weapons in Wonderland, she doesn't back down, but rather finds it in herself to even talk back to whoever assaults her.
+ PRACTICAL: Alice is a hard-working girl who will always try her best to make herself useful to others. When she feels indebted to someone, she does everything she can to pay them back, for example by working for them (as she did for Julius in exchange for living in the Clock Tower).
+ ADAPTATION: Being kidnapped to a different world and kept there against her will? BEEN THERE, DONE THAT. For a young lady that she is, Alice finds it surprisingly easy to adapt to a situation like that. It didn't take her long before she began treating the Country of Hearts as her home, and it shouldn't take her long to get used to Johto either.

+/- STUBBORN: As a person who will always stand her ground, Alice isn't someone you could easily persuade to change her mind. No, she will hold onto her believes (such as valuing lives of other people, for example) and although for most part it's an admirable trait, this also leads to being almost childishly stubborn at times (which can be seen in her arguments with Blood).
+/- PACIFIST: Alice absolutely hates to watch people get hurt. She can't stand to see others in pain and will always rush to their aid, even if she knows she can't do anything. While it's obviously very noble of her, this can lead to her getting into trouble.

- SOMEWHAT NAIVE: During her entire stay in the other world, Alice strongly believes she's dreaming, and therefore is certain she cannot be harmed, which often leads her to getting into dangerous situations without thinking since it's "just a dream".
- LOW SELF-ESTEEM: Alice can often be seen comparing herself to others, especially her older sister (or in Wonderland, Vivaldi, who is a lot like Lorina), usually thinking that she's much more "graceful", "elegant" and "beautiful" than herself. She doesn't seem to notice her own traits, only looking up to others. Due to her unfortunate past with romance, she also doesn't believe anyone could really fall in love with someone like herself, other than due to her being an Outsider. Even though she's considered "special" for her unusual views on life and death, she would often mention how her train of thought is just "normal" in her world.
- RUNNING AWAY: After the traumatic experience of her father growing apart from her, her younger sister becoming cold and angry with her and her beloved older sister passing away, as well as her lover abandoning her, Alice started (quite irrationally) blaming herself for Lorina's death and running away into dreams. Although a part of her realizes that she needs to stop dreaming and face reality, she continues her stay in Wonderland, subconsciously wishing to remain there forever, as unlike in the real world, she can be happy there, having no memories of her sister's death.

[Good morning, Johto! It's this time again -- time for Newbie "Where Am I, What Is This Thing, What Should I Doooooo" Panic Attack, isn't it? Not really! The girl in the video feed does seem confused, but not overly alarmed. Before asking any questions, she waves her hand in front of the camera uncertainly.]

Hello? Does this work...? The book said I can use this to contact others... [She pauses, giving the device in her hands a puzzled look.]

If anyone can hear this... My name is Alice Liddell. The Role-holder in the house where I woke up... Um, "Mom", was it? I mean, she's not my mother, but if that's her role, then I guess it makes sense... Anyway, from what she said and what's written in this book I got, it looks like I was given the role of a "Breeder", but something must be wrong. I'm an Outsider, so I don't think I can have a role...

[The girl looks around, her expression becoming somewhat worried.]

Besides, I'm sure I was about to go back to the real world, but it seems like I'm still dreaming... does it mean I'm still in the Country of Hearts? Moreover...

[She turns the camera down, so that it shows a little Buneary clinging affectionately to her leg now.]

Is it really alright for me to keep him?

[There's a brief moment of silence, after which the girl apparently forgets about the PokéGear she was holding, dropping it to the ground. After landing, the feed shows the picture of Alice hugging the rabbit Pokémon tightly.]

He's so cute!!

Third Person Sample:

Sunday afternoon. It was, without any doubt, Alice's favorite time of the week. She had always been looking forward to it -- spending those few hours with her beloved older sister in the garden, reading books and playing games. That hadn't been possible for them to do that while the girl was in Wonderland, of course, but now that she's finally back, they could freely enjoy their favorite activities again...

Or so Alice thought, sitting under a big tree and looking up to the clear, summer sky. It was warm, and the sun was starting to make her a little sleepy... surely Lorina wouldn't mind if her little sister dozed off for a moment, right? She should come back with the cards for them to play soon, she would wake her up...

Alice felt her eyelids becoming heavier and heavier and finally, she gave in, curling up comfortably on the grass and letting her mind shut down. It wasn't long until she felt something tugging on her dress, bringing her back to reality. The girl sat up, rubbing her eyes sleepily.

In front of her, there was a rabbit.

No ordinary rabbit, either. It was coated with two different colors of brown fur, the lighter one covering its bottom half and the tips of its ears. She'd never seen one like that before. It looked so soft, fluffy and...

"... so cute."

Alice knew she shouldn't touch wild animals (her sister would probably scold her for doing so), but she really couldn't help herself. She reached out to touch it's shiny, brown fur... when suddenly, the rabbit started running away. On its two back paws, nonetheless.

"H-Hey! Wait up!" The girl shouted after it, quickly getting on her feet and following the rabbit. She ran for a few minutes before she saw it jumping into a hole in the ground that seemingly appeared out of nowhere.

It was too late to stop now.

Before she could react, Alice felt the familiar feeling of falling -- falling into darkness, without knowing where she'd land. She wanted to scream, but a voice -- a well-known voice -- echoed in her head.

Did you know?

"Nightmare...?" Alice looked around, searching for any sign of the Incubus.

Games always have rules. It's decided from the beginning...

"Then... I'm dreaming?" The girl closed her eyes, suddenly not worried about hitting the bottom of the hole anymore.

You knew that, right?

Her eyes snapped open and Alice sat up on a bed. She was in a house... but it wasn't her house. She looked around, confused.

"Am I... still dreaming?"
